Emily is a full-time trainer with Instinct Portland. She specializes in teaching manners and life skills, and helping rowdy dogs learn self-control; she also has experience working with dogs with behavioral issues, including reactivity, resource guarding, and anxiety. Emily is comfortable working with dogs from a wide range of backgrounds, having spent years volunteering in shelter environments. She enjoys adapting training programs and exercises to meet the needs of each individual dog, owner, and situation.
Emily is an Accredited Dog Trainer through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), and holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, with a focus on domestic and exotic animals.
